Aziz Hilal is a French-Moroccan scholar. He lives in Cairo where he currently teaches Arabic and philosophy at the French high school.
He holds a Ph. D. from the Michel de Montaigne University – Bordeaux III. His doctoral thesis was on the Book of letters (Kitāb al-Ḥurūf) by the philosopher al-Fārābī (d. 339/950).
His current work focuses on medieval Arab philosophy and Arabic literature in general.
